Bosch turns up in Montreal kitchens for a structural reason: the buildings. A 24-inch dishwasher opening is the North American standard in every kitchen, but 24-inch stacked laundry is not — full-size washers and dryers here are 27 to 27.5 inches wide, and Bosch is one of the few brands with a complete compact line that fits a plex galley or a condo closet. Masonry facades and rear balconies on Plateau and Rosemont triplexes also make adding a dryer vent awkward, so ventless condensation dryers end up in that closet instead. That shapes the repair work. Why does my Bosch dishwasher show E15, E22, E24 or E25?
Five codes cover most Bosch dishwasher work, and four of them are water movement. E24 means the drain time was exceeded: a blocked filter or hose, a kinked line, or a garburator knockout plug left in place. E25 is narrower, meaning debris jamming the drain-pump impeller or a pump cover not seated after cleaning. E22 means water is not clearing the fine filter cavity at the bottom of the tub. E15 is the base-pan float, where water has reached the tray under the machine and AquaStop has locked the cycle. Draining the pan clears the display; the leak is still there. E09 is different: the flow-through heater inside the circulation pump has lost continuity, so the wash never reaches temperature and nothing dries.
What do F2, F4 and F5 mean on a Bosch induction cooktop?
F2, F4 and F5 are thermal-protection messages, not component failures. F2 means the electronics under one cooking zone overheated and that zone switched itself off. F4 means the whole cooktop overheated and shut down. F5 means hot cookware is sitting over the touch controls; move the pan and the panel recovers. All three clear once the unit cools. What matters is whether they come back. Repeat F2 or F4 on a cool cooktop usually points to blocked ventilation under the counter, from a drawer insert, a stacked appliance or a filler panel added during a kitchen redo, or to the cooling fan and power module. Induction is electric, which is all we service in Quebec.
What causes E18/F18 and E23/F23 on a Bosch washer?
Bosch washers report two faults more than any others. E18, also shown as F18, is a drainage fault: the machine could not pump out within the allotted time. On Bosch front-loaders the first stop is the front-access trap behind the kickplate, which catches coins, hairpins and lint before they reach the pump, then the drain hose and the pump itself. E23, or F23, is the AquaStop leak trip: water has collected in the base from a hose joint, the door boot or the pump housing, and the machine locks out to protect the floor. In a stacked 24-inch closet install, getting the unit out is half the job.
Why does my Bosch ventless dryer show E01 or E02?
E01 and E02 belong to Bosch ventless condenser and heat-pump dryers. E01 means airflow is restricted at the lint filter, usually a film of fabric-softener residue that shaking will not lift; the filter needs washing. E02 means the restriction is still present after the filter was cleared, which moves the search deeper: lint packed into the airflow path, or a loaded heat exchanger behind the lower access panel. Ventless units trade an exterior duct for a condenser you have to maintain, and that trade is exactly why they sit in Montreal condos and rear-balcony plexes where cutting a vent through masonry was never an option.
What does E011 mean on a Bosch wall oven?
E011 is a stuck-key fault: the control reads one touch key or capacitive sensor as permanently pressed, so it stops accepting input. The trigger is usually physical, such as a spill wiped across the panel, steam rising from a cooktop installed directly below, or a grease film around the key edges. Clean and dry the panel first; if E011 returns, the touch module or its ribbon connection is the fault. Bosch wall ovens also fail without a code: a cooling fan that will not shut off once the cavity is cold points at the limit thermostats or the main relay board, not the fan motor.

Because one BSH number can span three badges, fit is decided by that number plus your full model and E-Nr, not by the name on the door. Québec's Bill 29 and your right to repair
Quebec's Bill 29 (2023, chapter 21), An Act to protect consumers from planned obsolescence and to promote the durability, repairability and maintenance of goods, received assent on 5 October 2023. Its warranty-of-availability provisions came into force on 5 October 2025: replacement parts, repair services and the information needed to maintain or repair a good must be available for a reasonable period, and parts must be installable with commonly used tools without causing irreversible damage. The Act also sets a response deadline — a merchant or manufacturer has 10 days to answer a repair request with the time the repair will take. If the consumer turns that timeframe down, the good may be repaired by a third party at the merchant's or manufacturer's expense; where no answer comes at all, or the stated timeframe is not met, the remedy runs to replacement or reimbursement instead. This describes the statute rather than advising on it — for how it applies to your appliance, check with the Office de la protection du consommateur or a lawyer. I drained the base pan and E15 came back. Why?
Draining the base pan resets the AquaStop float, but it does not fix the leak that filled the pan. E15 returns because water is still arriving, from a hose joint, the tub or door seal, the pump housing, or excess foam caused by non-dishwasher detergent. A technician tilts the machine, dries the tray, then runs a partial fill to watch where water actually appears.
What is the difference between E22, E24 and E25 on a Bosch dishwasher?
All three are drainage-side faults. E22 means water is not clearing the fine filter cavity at the bottom of the tub, so the cup filter is packed. E24 means the drain time was exceeded, pointing at the hose, a kink, or a garburator knockout plug. E25 means the drain pump itself is jammed or its cover is unseated. Knowing which code appeared saves replacing a healthy pump.
Do you repair Bosch gas cooktops in Montreal?

Why will my Bosch dishwasher not dry the dishes even though it runs normally?
Bosch dishwashers use condensation drying: heat carried in the final rinse water evaporates off the stainless tub instead of a basin element blowing hot air. If the flow-through heater inside the circulation pump loses continuity, the rinse never gets hot and nothing dries, and the control usually logs E09. Missing rinse aid and plastic-heavy loads produce the same complaint with no fault code at all.
Can a Thermador part fit my Bosch appliance?

My Bosch induction cooktop keeps showing F4. Is it broken?
Not necessarily. F4 is the whole-unit overheat cutout: the cooktop shuts down and recovers once the electronics cool. It becomes a repair when it repeats on a cool unit or during ordinary cooking. At that point we check the ventilation gap and anything stacked underneath, then the cooling fan and the power module. F2 behaves the same way but takes out one zone only.
